Customer Review:
I am a professional bra fitter and I saw this bra for six months in our store before I tried it out, and after one time on the elliptical machine & treadmill, I have never felt so passionate about anything in my life. I am a 34DD and I was completely supported, still had a figure under my gym clothes (no uni-pigeon boob with this bra), and felt completely free to do whatever I wanted at the gym without being embarrassed by my moving bust. Also it helped keep me dry, even when the rest of me wasn't. Most sports bras on the market are compression sports bras (hence uniboob) which is the least effective way to stabilize breast tissue, because when your breasts are being smashed (the same is also true for "minimizer" bras) your breast tissue becomes one solid block, and this block will still move when you do cardio, and to make matters worse when they move this weight becomes one pressure point on your Cooper's ligament (these are the ligaments under the breasts that hold them up) and all that reconfigured weight stresses and stretches them, which results in permanent sagging. (If you are putting strain on your breasts by loosing weight or going through pregnancy or breast feeding one of the best investments you can make is keeping up with your changing bra size. If you don't the effects are permanent. Biggest Loser contestants I'm thinking of you!:).You want a sports bra that comes in a bra size, encapsulates each breast separately, has seams (seamed bras support your breasts in parts and are always more supportive than non-seamed bras). This bra hit all my check marks and has cushioned straps too which make my treadmill sprints much easier. Also, it's nice that this bra comes in so many sizes, I think back sizes go from 28-38 and cups are D to a U.K. size H(which is 8D). I would recommend getting fitted at a specialty shop like Intimacy or somewhere like Nordstroms that has notationally certified bra fitters because almost all women wear the wrong size bra, also your size can change over time. I have also found the wired version of this bra works better for most people than the non-wired version. If your looking for a plus-sized sports bra Freya's sister company, Elomi makes a very good one.
I've had this bra for about a year and in three words: I love it!
